Dance Practice One

Assalam & hello.

For dance practice, kami (satu kelas) dibahagikan kepada beberapa kumpulan kecil supaya senang untuk berlatih mengikut ketua kumpulan kecil masing masing. Jadi dengan ini, saya nak memperkenalkan ahli kumpulan kecil saya yang comel-comel semuanya; Hazrin Afifi a.k.a Mok (ketua), Aimi, Muzaffar, Izzuddin, Zulnazme, & saya.

So, masa first day latihan pada 16-10-2015, kitorang practice kat campus (tingkat 12) sampai pukul 11 malam. Semangat kan. Well, first day. hihi then siap sempat rakam video lagi haa (saja nak buat kenang-kenangan bila dah habis belajar nanti) gitu. Tapi, harini baru berkesempatan compile, edit and upload video yang tak seberapa ni. Maaf la minions semua tak reti menariiii ha ha ha

Acrylic & Canvas

Hello.

Haritu masa tengah duk cari-cari artworks for FYP booklet, aku pun terfikir. Why not aku compile kan gambar beberapa keping canvas painting yang aku pernah buat sepanjang bergelar pelajar animasi ni kan. hehe Kesemuanya ada empat. Tapi yang satu tu aku tak compilekan sekali sebab canvas size A4 je pun. So, yang dicompilekan hanyalah canvas saiz beso beso. A1 & A2.

Setiap canvas ni ada kisahnya. Okay, meh nak cerita satu persatu. hehe  ツ


First; canvas gambar kuda ni aku buat pada hujung tahun 2012 untuk final project Subject Introduction to Drawing dengan Sir Fawwaz masa sem satu dulu. Oleh kerana ini first time guna acrylic & canvas besar gajah ni. So neves die lain macam sikit. haha tak reti weh. kekok semua ada. 

Selepas hari presentation, canvas kuda ni tersimpan rapi dekat galery UniKL kat tingkat 16. Harapnya masih tersimpan rapi lah sehingga ke hari ini. hehe 

Common soalan yang orang duk tanya aku; "Kenapa kuda?" 

Masa nak buat final ni, aku macam takda idea then aku pun minta pendapat abang aku, then die cakap cuba lukis kuda. Mula mula aku tak nak, sebab susah. Aku rasa macam tak boleh buat. Tapi atas cabaran / sokongan dan dukungan dari abang tercinta, akhirnya aku pun buat jugak. Haha jadi ini lah hasilnya. Masa time presentation, aku kena judge dengan Sir Fawwaz, Sir Zaky & Sir Rosli. I still remember, yang paling pedas adalah komen dari Sir Rosli. He said;

"lukisan awak ni buruk kalau tak ada kuda putih tu. kuda putih tu penyelamat awak." -Mr.Rosli, 2012

Haha I know Sir, kuda coklat tu memang tak jadi sebab saya tak pandai nak blend colour dia. hehe Alhamdulillah tak ada air mata yang menitis saat keluar dari bilik judgers tu. ha ha ha 

Seterusnya, ini pula adalah canvas untuk final project class Sir Zaky, subject Figure Drawing. It's Puteri Gunung Ledang (Datin Seri Tiara Jacquelina) versi tak siap. Buruk kan? Yea I know that. ha ha Sebenarnya time ni aku macam tak cukup masa sangat, sebab tu lah hasil dia macam tak berapa best. sebab busy dengan subject lain kot rasanya. Tah la tak berapa ingat. hehe Sokay, nevermind. 

Untuk final project ni kitorang kena buat figure pose. 'well-known figure pose' Jadi, ini adalah gambar kami (tak cukup satu class) pada hari submission canvas. Yang best sebab tak ada presentation. hehe Yeay! okay. Let's proceed to next canvas. 

This is the last one. Aku buat pada tahun 2014. Ini bukan final project. It was an assigment untuk Subject Illustration with Mr. Sheikh (suami Mdm. Suzi) The theme was; Fantasy. Jadi, ini lah hasilnya setelah aku berfantasi beberapa ketika.  
 

Last but not least, kita payung satu gambar pada hari submission canvas ni ye. hehe

On 12-10-2015, we've given the reference video for our dancing performance untuk exhibition nanti. * kena buli dengan Mr.M, padan muka semuorang. kah kah * So, lagu yang diberi adalah lagu Ringa Linga (링가 링가) from Taeyang. Yess it's K-pop.

"Sebab ramai yang tak suka K-pop, sebab tu saya sengaja bagi korang lagu K-pop." -Mr.M, 2015

23-03-15| So, Let's start with a picture which has been uploaded on my Instagram 28 weeks ago;
I've been rejected for so many times by our project coordinator, Mr.M. because of unexciting and cliché storylines. So, yeah bila sir dah approve and dapat cop 'M' tu, rasa happy gila. happy weh happyy!

25-04-15| Bila storyline dah dapat kelulusan dari Mr.M, then mula lah sesi mendesign the characters.

08-05-15| Baru bagi cop terus tanya pasal rigging. hm Mr. M hmmm

20-05-15| Cerita dia macam ni. Waktu buat storyboard, I was macam confuse sama ada nak draw tangan or digital. Sebabnye, kalau draw guna tangan, honestly I don't have any kaler pensel or water colour, etc. Lagipun, tak pandai sangat kaler-kaler manual ni, sebab dah lama tak buat. hehe So dah draw 8-9 frames dalam kertas A3, then I tukar - draw digital pulak, tak jadi nak proceed draw guna tangan. Alasannya sebab kalau draw digital, hasilnya confirm lebih kemas dan senang nak buh colour nanti. Buat storyboard ni pun habis banyak masa jugak. Total semuanya ada dalam 50 frames, dengan terkial-kial nak drawnya, nak fikir compositions lagi, camera angle lagi, then kena colour 100% lagi. Hm

25-05-15| Actually, this girl was the first character yang I try model dalam 3DS Max, first try buat head modeling sambil tengok banyak tutorials from different tutors kat Youtube and Vimeo. I've been trying about 5-6 times, tapi at last semua tak jadi. (topology tak jadi sedih betul) I have given up modeling this character then I proceed buat modeling character robot hijau kat bawah ni.

First character; robot hijau, almost done. Banyak gila habis masa dekat robot ni. First time kan. Susahhhhh.. banyak kali buat tak jadi, buat tak jadi buat balik, tak jadi then buat balik. semua banda nk kena belajar sendiri. dah siap tu poly count pulak masalah. Terlebih sampai 100 000+ polygons.  TT

21-08-15| At last. Taraaa! Comel tak comel tak? hehhe Lepas siap je model and rigging that green robot, saya terus mencari tutorial yang bagus, mudah, dan efektif untuk modeling human characters. Sehingga lah saya terjumpa satu channel yang awesome kat Youtube. You may click this link >>  Darrin Lile Channel

Tapi, Darrin Lile ni dia ajar buat modeling-animate karakter manusia guna software Blender. Siapa yang nak belajar buat modeling guna software Blender, so this tutorial is perfect for you guys! :) So, berbekalkan sedikit ilmu 3DS Max dan Blender yg ada dalam kepala ni, alhamdulillah I could understand apa yang dia ajar. Sebabnye tools dalam 3DS Max and Blender tak banyak beza sangat cuma interface die je la yang berbeza sikit. Lagipun, bagus Darrin Lile ni, dia ajar step by step. (bagus untuk animation student tahap tadika macam aku ni)

03-10-15| Well, malang tak berbau bak kate orang kan. Almost one month I cannot do anything disebabkan demam denggi. (rasa nak bye bye fyp masa tu) I had dengue fever 4 weeks back and was admitted in hospital for three days with intravenous fluids (IV) given. My fever of 40.1 ºC lasted for 7-8 days with intense pain, loss of appetite, red and itchy palms and feet, diarrhea and nausea. After IV was removed and I started walking around, I had extreme fatigue and dizziness. Days after discharge I still had dizziness and fatigue, so much so, that I could not go to classes and do my final year project. Now, alhamdulillah I feel so much better.

Fixing Polycount Problem

Hello.

In my previous post, I had mention about one problem that I have with my very first robot character isn't it? So, yeah I'm trying to fix the poly count problem by deleting all of the unimportant polygons/ elements within the character body.

First, I turned on wireframe mode and search for any hidden elements or polygons. Figure 1 is the screenshot of the fingers part. I found a lot of hidden polygons there that I could delete. As you can see, there was a sphere (red) inside a finger's joint sphere (blue). The red spheres were hidden inside the fingers' joints spheres which means they are useless. I did not sure how come there's another sphere inside the joints.
So, yeah that was my bad.

So, this is the final one, with lower poly counts. 

I'm glad that I could reduce the poly counts from 101 812 to 75 514 polygons.
